L’Afrique indienne sheds light on the past and present of communities of Indo-Pakistani origin in East Africa. The volume, edited by Michel Adam, presents the social, economic and political situation of minorities of Indian origin today.

This publication results from a research programme coordinated by Michel Adam, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Tours, with a team of 9 East African and European researchers. Research took place in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

‘Indian Africa’, the English version, was published by Mkuki wa Nyota and IFRA in 2015.
