Readings on Petit Pays / Rencontre autour de Petit Pays: 31st Jan (in French)
31/1/2019 – Alliance Française – 5-7pm
With Assumpta Mugiraneza (social psychologist, Iriba Center, Kigali), Ariane Zaytzeff (Assistant Professor in French and Francophone Literature at University of Toulouse-le-Mirail), Maëline Le Lay (CNRS/IFRA-Nairobi), Armelle Gaulier (LAM Bordeaux) and the Alliance Française reading club.
This event will tell us about Gaël Faye’s music and literary trajectory and seek to ponder about the reasons of its great success, reinserting Faye’s novel, Petit pays, within the corpus of Rwandan genocide literature.
It will address the importance of translating Petit Pays in Kinyarwanda and English (already published) and hopefully in Swahili.
